March 19, 2025 – Inspectors from the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) visited key pumping stations operated by the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) to assess their operational efficiency. The facilities inspected included the Gov. Camins Pumping Station, Guiwan Pumping Station, and Divisoria Pumping Station.
Leading the NWRB inspection team were Ms. Jane Dominguez, Head of Permit Section, and Engr. Charito Menguito, Head of Evaluation Section, who conducted a thorough evaluation of the pumping stations. Assisting them were key ZCWD personnel, including OIC Legal Services Division Atty. Ekeena O. Lim, Senior Researcher Analyst A Yusop M. Masdal, Department Manager for the Environment and Water Resources Department Engr. Valerie Gay P. Yuayan, Utilities Services Assistant C Sarah May W. Candido-Jadda, and Division Manager for Water Production Division Engr. Alex A. Acosta.
The inspection aimed to ensure that these vital facilities continue to operate efficiently, providing a reliable water supply to Zamboanga City residents. The assessment is part of ongoing efforts to uphold water service quality and sustainability across the city.
