ZCWD Brings Water Application Services Closer to Communities for Ease of Doing Business Month

In celebration of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, spearheaded by the Anti-Red Tape Authority, the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), through its Commercial Services Department, extended its services directly to various barangays, bringing government processes closer to the people. This initiative is part of the agency’s continued efforts to improve service delivery and reduce bureaucratic red tape.

From May 14 to 16, ZCWD visited Barangays Vitali, Mangusu, Guisao, Lanzones, Tolosa, and Cacao. Representatives from the Customer Services and Customer Care Division, as well as the Community Relations and External Affairs Section, conducted orientation seminars for new applicants for Water Service Connection. The seminar is a key component of the application process, providing residents with a clear understanding of the requirements and procedures involved.
Further enhancing the campaign’s impact, ZCWD waived the inspection fees for all new applicants from May 13 to 16, reinforcing its commitment to making public services more accessible and efficient. By taking these services directly to the communities, ZCWD helped reduce the time, cost, and effort typically required for securing water connections.

This proactive approach aligns with ZCWD’s broader campaign to promote ease of doing business and strengthen public trust through responsive governance.
Beyond this month-long initiative, the ZCWD Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Ernesto F. Ubando, Jr., and General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin, remains firmly committed to delivering high-quality, customer-centered service throughout the year. Their leadership reinforces the agency’s mission of upholding good governance and ensuring that every Zamboangueño receives timely, fair, and efficient water service free from unnecessary delays.
