January 19, 2026 – The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) recognized the honesty and integrity of Operations Group Field Personnel Rudy T. Vicente, Melquiades Jr. B. Monopollo, and Alfie B. Delos Reyes for returning a ₱9,000 cash they found while performing their official duties last January 17, 2026.

The three field personnel immediately reported and turned over the money to a local news station to help disseminate the information through social media, with the intention of returning it to its rightful owner, an act widely lauded as a true example of ethical public service.

The Certificates of Recognition were presented in the presence of Acting General Manager Louella A. Aguilera, Assistant General Manager for the Administration Group Atty. Mark Allen M. Paredes, and their supervisor, Mr. Alvin F. Bautista, together with Engr. Mary Ann D. Araneta. ZCWD officials commended the personnel for exemplifying the District’s core values of honesty, integrity, and accountability.

ZCWD emphasized that such commendable actions help strengthen public trust and inspire employees to continue serving the community with integrity.
