The Zamboanga City Water District officially welcomed Atty. Giovanni L. Luistro as the new Member of the Board of Directors representing the Education Sector following his appointment on March 06, 2026.

Atty. Luistro earned his degree of Bachelor of Laws in Zamboanga Arturo Eustaquio Colleges in 1994 and passed the Bar Exam in the same year. He acquired his Master’s Degree in San Beda Graduate School of Law in 2018. An active practitioner in the legal field, beginning as a Junior Partner at Linda Eustaquio-Lim Law Offices from 1994 to 2024, and became a Managing Partner at Luistro & Azcarraga Law Office from 2025 to present. He also served as a law professor at Ateneo de Zamboanga University College of Law.

The newly appointed Board of Director will serve the remaining unexpired term of former Member Alan B. Dela Cruz, which runs until December 2028.

The oath of office was administered by City Mayor Khymer Adan T. Olaso on March 11, 2026, in a ceremony witnessed by members of the ZCWD Board of Directors and management officials.

Present during the oath-taking were ZCWD Chairperson Atty. John Paul S. Pagteilan, Vice-Chairperson John Federick P. Ruiz, and Board Secretary Eunice S. Dalisay.

Also in attendance were members of the ZCWD Management Team, including Acting General Manager Louella A. Aguilera, Assistant General Manager for the Technical Services Group, Engr. Marli P. Acosta-De Fiesta, Assistant General Manager for the Operations Group, Michael Angelo M. Carbon, and Assistant General Manager for Finance Group and concurrent Assistant General Manager for Administration Group, Atty. Mark Allen M. Paredes.

ZCWD expressed its confidence that Atty. Luistro’s leadership and expertise will further strengthen the organization’s commitment to delivering reliable and efficient water services while fostering strong partnerships with key sectors in the community including the education sector.
