In support of Brigada Eskwela 2026, the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), through its Community Relations and External Affairs Section (CREAS), distributed a total of 1,000 bottles of drinking water to ten (10) public schools across the city’s East and West Coast areas from June 1 to 4, 2026.
The beneficiary schools were Pasonanca Elementary School, Upper Pasonanca Elementary School , Capisan National High School, Capisan Elementary School, Dulian Elementary School, San Roque Elementary School, Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School–SHS, Tugbungan Elementary School, Talon-Talon Elementary School, and Mampang Elementary School.
The initiative was carried out with the support of the Operations Group (OG) Water Quality Division (WQD), headed by the Division Manager, Eric Salaritan, and OG Assistant General Manager Michael Angelo M. Carbon.
During the week-long activity, ZCWD CREAS Personnel engaged with school administrators and volunteers, highlighting the importance of hydration and water safety, especially during physically demanding tasks. The distribution also served as an opportunity to reinforce the agency’s advocacy for sustainable water use and environmental stewardship in the community.
Through this initiative, ZCWD helped ensure that teachers, volunteers, and school personnel had access to safe drinking water while carrying out school preparation activities.
ZCWD reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the program in the years ahead as part of its corporate social responsibility. “Education is a shared responsibility, and we are proud to be a partner in preparing our schools for a safe and successful academic year,” said Ms. Louella A. Aguillera, Acting General Manager of ZCWD. “Providing clean water is essential, especially as we promote health and well-being among our youth and educators.”
