In support of disaster preparedness and workplace safety, the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026.

Personnel from the ZCWD Main Office, Motorpool, and Water Treatment Plant took part in the drill by performing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and observing proper evacuation protocols following the simulated earthquake scenario.

The activity was facilitated by the ZCWD Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSH) and ZCWD Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee (DRRMC) underscoring the district’s commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience among its employees.

Under the leadership of Acting General Manager Louella A. Aguilera, ZCWD places workplace safety among its highest priorities, especially during natural disasters and emergency situations. Through regular participation in earthquake drills and other preparedness activities, the District continues to strengthen its emergency response capabilities and ensure the safety and well-being of its workforce and the continuity of essential water services.
