Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) was once again recognized as one of the distinguished awardees during the 3rd Premio Excelso en la Trabajo (Excellence in
Work Awards) organized by the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM), Zamboanga Peninsula Chapter.

This marks the second time that the District has received this recognition, reflecting its sustained commitment to occupational health, workplace wellness, worker safety, and employee-centered initiatives.

The awarding ceremony was held last June 27, 2026, at La Azotea, Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City, bringing together institutions and organizations that continue to demonstrate excellence in promoting healthy and safe work environments.

Representing ZCWD during the ceremony was Ms. Sundae Grace P. Najar, Supervising Industrial Relations and Management Officer of the Human Resource Department, and Industrial Nurse Jena Alesa R. Cartagena, accepted the award on behalf of the District.

The recognition highlights ZCWD’s continued efforts in creating a healthy, safe, and productive workplace while advancing programs that support employee welfare and organizational excellence. The District management and Board of Directors also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthen initiatives and implement meaningful practices that promote employee well-being and quality public service.

Receiving this award for the second time inspires the Zamboanga City Water District to further uphold its standards of excellence and strengthen its commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and people-centered workplace. With the steadfast commitment of the ZCWD Management, the unwavering support of the Board of Directors, and the continued efforts of the Human Resource Department, ZCWD remains dedicated to enhancing employee welfare, promoting occupational health and safety, and implementing programs that foster a productive and healthy work environment. The Human Resource Department will continue to strengthen its initiatives and pursue even greater improvements in support of the District’s vision of organizational excellence. Agua es Vida!
