As part of its commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and conducive working environment, the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) recently conducted a comprehensive fumigation activity at its Main (Pilar St.), Motorpool, Old Reservoir Facility, and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) of its Pasonanca Offices.

The initiative forms part of the district’s proactive health and sanitation measures aimed at preventing the spread of mosquitoes, insects, and other disease-carrying pests within its facilities. By ensuring clean and sanitary workspaces, ZCWD continues to prioritize the well-being of its employees while providing a safe environment for customers who visit the district to transact business and settle their water bills.

The fumigation was carried out in key office areas, workspaces, customer service sections, and other strategic locations to help minimize potential health risks and maintain a hygienic workplace. The activity also supports the district’s ongoing efforts to comply with health and safety standards and reinforce preventive measures against vector-borne diseases.

ZCWD recognizes that a healthy workforce and a safe customer environment are essential to delivering efficient and uninterrupted public service. Through regular sanitation and maintenance activities such as fumigation, the district demonstrates its commitment to protecting the welfare of both its employees and the communities it serves.

The district extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Dulce A. Miravite, City Health Officer II of the Zamboanga City Health Office, for her prompt response and invaluable assistance in addressing the district’s request for fumigation services.
