Due to the absence of rainfall the past two weeks, ZCWD Task Force ‘El Nino’ will start re-imposing the rotational water rationing scheme in the entire city effective this afternoon.
While rainfall has provided relief and improved raw water inflow the past few weeks, and has allowed ZCWD to temporarily suspend rationing, current levels at both the Water Treatment Plants in Pasonanca and the Prime Water Infrastructure Corporation or PWIC, the district’s bulk water supplier in the west coast has plunged down to levels preventing the district from providing water 24/7.
Customers are advised to store enough water anew in the meantime water level are below normal.
