The Zamboanga City Water District team, headed by the Acting General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin, bagged 1st Runner Up on the Rescue Olympics and Rescue Exhibit, held last November 11, 2023, at Joaquin F. Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex.

The event was part of the 4-Day Rescue Summit 4.0 spearheaded by the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Thirty teams participated by the Uniformed Personnel, the Academe, Barangay Officials and Volunteers, Radio Station Groups, NGO Rescue Volunteers, Private Companies, and Government Agencies.

The main objective of the activity is to strengthen the capacities of the participants. Mainstream the Disaster Risk Reduction Management concepts, principles, and practices in the planning and implementing of the community’s development efforts.
