ZCWD WATER RATIONING SCHEDULE 001 and 002 s. 2024

BULK WATER SUPPLY WATER SYSTEM (PRIMEWATER)
JANUARY 2024
Effective: JANUARY 08, 2024
ZCWD to implement Water Rationing at the West Coast and Central areas
Effective January 08, 2024, Zamboanga City Water District will implement a Water Rationing scheme to address the water supply shortage in the West Coast Area and parts of the Central Area.
Due to the lack of rainfall in the area, this is in response to low water production at the PrimeWater Infrastructure Corporation (PWIC) WTP, the bulk water supplier of the district.
PWIC production level is down by 10% from the normal production of 45mld.
The rationing aims to provide water to key west coast areas from 11 hours to 12 hours and from 10 to 11 hours per day in the central area.
ZCWD management appeals to customers in the affected areas to use water judiciously at this time and for patience and understanding.
—————————————————————–
• Starting January 8, 2024, the ZCWD will implement water rationing at the West Coast and Central areas (PrimeWater-served areas). See schedule (WITH WATER).
• This is due to a 10% reduction from normal production of PrimeWater due to the PAGASA-declared El Niño affecting the Saaz River.
• The intermittent rains have not brought the raw water supply to normal operating levels. · Water deliveries in the affected will be intensified.
• The schedule is subject to change depending on the availability of supply.
