September 3, 2024 – The Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) held a strategic meeting with key stakeholders to discuss critical infrastructure projects and how it may impact the ZCWD water pipelines. The meeting brought together representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office IX, the DPWH District Engineers Office, the City Engineers Office, and Los Contratista (Organization of Local Contractors in Zamboanga City).
ZCWD General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin opened the session at the ZCWD Board Room, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration among all parties involved. The meeting featured comprehensive presentations on the status of current and future projects.
Assistant General Manager for the Technical Services Group, Michael Angelo M. Carbon, provided an update on the progress of ZCWD’s distribution lines. Following this, Assistant General Manager for the Operations Group, Atty. Mark Allen M. Paredes presented an overview of the ongoing maintenance efforts being undertaken by the ZCWD.
ZCWD Board of Directors Chairperson Ernesto F. Ubando, Jr. also participated in this stakeholders meeting. He underscored the necessity for ongoing cooperation and coordination among stakeholders and that these collective efforts are vital for the sustained development of Zamboanga City.
In his concluding message, GM Cabilin is grateful for the various stakeholders present for the healthy exchange of ideas and suggestions on how each organization should move forward when implementing their respective projects, with the collective goal of serving the people of Zamboanga City.
