September 13, 2024 – With the continuous rainfall affecting the city, Zamboanga City Water District Board of Directors Chairperson Ernesto F. Ubando, Jr., together with General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin personally assessed the situation of the water supply at the Pasonanca Water Treatment Plant and Intake Facility.

Principal Engineer for the Electromechanical Division Engr. Rowvette T. Ruiz and Division Manager for the Water Production Division Engr. Alex A. Acosta provided the latest updates at the WTP, with the current level at a status of “CRITICAL ABOVE NORMAL” at 74.84m (normal level: 74.20), the WTP remains operational despite the continuous rainfall.

Despite the operational status, Chairperson Ubando and GM Cabilin emphasized the need for heightened vigilance. They assured the public that the Zamboanga City Water District remains committed to closely monitoring the situation.

ZCWD Customers are advised to store water in anticipation of potential water service disruptions.
