December 9, 2024 – As part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration, the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) officially marked the start of the holiday season with the ceremonial switch-on of its Christmas decorations at the Main Office Building on Pilar Street. The festive initiative, spearheaded by the Buildings and Grounds Management Division under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Faith Q. Nuval – Sanchez, brought a joyful spirit to the ZCWD community.

The event was graced by ZCWD Management and staff, with General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin delivering an inspiring opening address. His message set the tone for the celebration, emphasizing the importance of unity and holiday cheer in fostering a positive work environment.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, song performances were conducted by Division Manager of the Manpower, Planning, and Recruitment Division, Mariam Suzette A. Sahi-Sahijuan, followed by a heartfelt rendition of holiday songs by the ZCWD Operations Group Chorale, who are currently showcasing their talent in a local chorale competition.

ZCWD Board of Directors Chairperson Ernesto F. Ubando, Jr., also joined the celebration, sharing words of commendation and highlighting the support of the Board of Directors for the coming year ahead.

The evening concluded with fellowship and joy among the ZCWD Employees. The ceremonial lighting not only illuminated the office but also symbolized the collective spirit of the ZCWD family as they embraced the Christmas season.
