“PINTAKASI SA KOMUNIDAD”

In a display of solidarity and community spirit, the ZCWD Employees Labor Union (ZCWDELU) headed by President Geoffrey A. Apolinario teamed up with 17 ZCWD Water Meter Readers headed by OIC-Billing Division Earl James S. Kanindot with the support of the Commercial Services Department Manager Sofronio E. Santos, organized a “Pintakasi” in Barangay Rio Hondo, Tugbungan, and Talon-Talon last March 1. The joint effort seeks to address local community needs through collective action and fostering cooperation among employees.
The initiative brings together members of the ZCWDELU and the hardworking water meter readers, who are integral to the smooth operations of the ZCWD. The “Pintakasi” seeks to address community needs such as the repair of the disorganized cluster meter, leak repair of after-the-meter connections, and cleaning of the cluster water meter stands within the Barangay.
Looking ahead, the union and the water meter readers plan to expand this collaboration with the district’s other departments to other Barangays, aiming to create a network of communities working together for mutual benefit.
“Together, we can address challenges such as emergency leak repairs, access to clean water, and other pressing issues that affect the daily lives of the ZCWD customers,” said, General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin.
