Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) reaffirmed its commitment to safety by conducting a fire drill simulation on March 21, 2025, at its Main Office in Pilar Street, Zamboanga City. The activity was part of the observance of Fire Prevention Month, reinforcing preparedness and emergency response measures within ZCWD facilities.
The fire drill was initiated by the ZCWD Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Division Officer-In-Charge Faith Q. Nuval-Sanchez in coordination with the ZCWD Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (ZCWD DRRMC) and ZCWD Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSHC), ensuring the orderly evacuation of staff and customers to designated safety zones. The simulation aimed to assess and improve the districtโs response protocols in case of fire emergencies.
The Bureau of Fire Protection – Regional Office IX (BFP-ROIX) conducted an evaluation of the drill, represented by SFO2 Anna Lorraine F. Ortiz, FO3 Shiela E. Domingo, FO3 Ciaranelle A. Tan, FO1 Hapie A. Ompoy, and FO1 Realyn B. Vallecer. Their assessment provided valuable insights into enhancing fire safety measures and emergency readiness.
Under the leadership of General Manager Reynaldo R. Cabilin, ZCWD remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees and customers at all times, particularly during emergencies.
