Jose Vicente F. Atilano III was re-elected chairman of the board of Zamboanga City Water District during the inaugural board meet for the year 2019, last Monday, January 7, 2019.

Atilano, who represents the civic sector, will serve for another two (2) years at the helm of the policy making body of the city’s water utility firm until 2020.

Jayvee as he is fondly called will be supported by Dra. Milagros L.  Fernandez and Mrs. Esther G. Orendain who were also both re-elected to their respective post as Vice Chairperson and Secretary of the Board.

Dra. Fernandez and Mrs. Orendian represent the professional and the women sectors respectively.

The other members of the board are, Mr. Abram M. Eustaquio represents the education sector and Engr. Efren F. Arañez, representing the business sector in the five-member board.

Meanwhile, City Mayor Beng Climaco has re-appointed both Fernandez and Arañez for a second term of six (6) years.

In a letter address to board secretary Esther G. Orendain, the City Mayor granted the extension paving way for the duo to serve until December of 2024.
